As the Hornets visit town on Friday, the Bees will be without their star striker. Who will be the sting?

Andy Schooler: The 17th-placed Hornets are 3.75 for victory. However, they have scored 20 goals this season, despite not scoring in seven of their 15 matches. They have scored two goals at Leicester, five at Everton, and three at Norwich in recent away games.

Claudio Ranieri's team has also conceded 29 goals - only Newcastle and Norwich have more. Meanwhile, shots-conceded stats reveal they have the fourth worst record with more than 15 goals per game. The only Premier League team to not concede a goal this season is the United States.

Watford has lost three consecutive games since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's final nail was hammered with a victory over Manchetser United 4-1, even though those losses were against Chelsea, Manchester City, and Leicester.

They scored in all three, and the both-teams option to score looks sensible at 1.83.

It is very difficult to see beyond the home side of the market, but 1.19 is too short, so I have weighed up some alternatives.

City to win and Both Teams To Score have been able to land in their three Premier League matches. Manuel Lanzino scored an excellent consolation goal for West Ham, scoring with the very last kick of the match two weeks ago. Ollie Watkins scored one for Aston Villa three days later after City had led by two. City won both games with 2-1 goals, while Hernandez scored a second-half consolation goal for Watford in a 3-1 defeat at home last Saturday.

The Terriers will host the Sky Blues in West Yorkshire at lunchtime on Saturday, with both sides aiming for promotion to the Championship.

Mark O'Haire states: Huddersfield has performed better than expected to be in the top-half of the table as we approach the busy Christmas period. Inconsistency has plagued the Terriers' campaign. Town are currently at third place in the Expected Points (xP), when looking at the eight previous outings.

Coventry is the surprise package of the Championship with Mark Robins' team just one point behind the play-off spots heading into the weekend. The Sky Blues' impressive campaign has been built on strong home form. City scored only two victories on their travels (W2-D4–L4) while scoring only eight (29%) out of their total 28 goals away.

Fiorentina is a strong force in Serie A, but they have weaknesses that their opponents can exploit.

Chloe Beresford said: Fiorentina won the weekend, which means that they have only 16 games to win as many (9) victories as they did last season. Their strong home form is key to this, with La Viola winning all four of their matches at Stadio Artemio Frankchi. All seven games in 2021/22 have seen more than 2.5 goals.

Bayern Munich defeated Barcelona 3-0 in the midweek and won a chaotic Klassiker in Dortmund 3-2 last weekend. But Mainz may not be in their league.

Kevin Hatchard: Bayern lost to Mainz last season at the MEWA Arena, so they will have to work hard to defeat Bo Svensson's team here. The Dane has transformed a team that seemed destined for relegation to one that is pushing for European qualification. Mainz should be ranked second on the table if you take a look at Expected Points. These are the actual results teams should have gotten in games based upon their underlying numbers. This is truly amazing. They defeated Champions League participants Wolfsburg, 3-0, last weekend.

While I believe Bayern will be too strong to beat Mainz in this match, I believe the visitors will win. German U21 international forward Jonathan Burkardt has been in great form and Karim Onisiwo is supporting him. Both players are quick so expect them both to play behind Bayern's high defensive line. Burkardt scored home-and-away against Bayern last year. Cheat Football Picks and Betting Lines
